Overview
A method aimed at generating ideas for various themes such as new product development and urban planning. By listing perspectives for ideation, you can generate ideas while preventing missed elements. The Checklist Method is often considered a passive method for preventing mistakes, but it is also capable of active ideation that explores new perspectives for problem-solving by forcibly connecting the design subject with each checklist item.

Steps
- 1
Set the design subject in advance.

- 2
Determine check items that summarize perspectives for ideation and create a checklist. Confirm that all necessary items are included without contradiction for the design subject. Further refine items based on past cases, expert opinions, and other information.

- 3
Extract new design elements corresponding to each checklist item for the design subject.

Tips & Tricks
When creating checklists, existing checklists such as Osborn's or ABW Association's can be used. However, it is also important to create a checklist suited to the design subject and think accordingly.
Osborn's checklist is suited for product development, while the ABW Association's checklist is suited for soft-sector planning.
