Overview
A method for generating new ideas by utilizing tacit knowledge contained in images such as photographs and illustrations rather than words and sentences. Used for generating ideas for new products, sales promotions, and catchphrases. Similar to the Catalog Method, but differs in that ideas are generated without forcibly connecting collected images to the design subject.

Steps
- 1
Set the design subject in advance.

- 2
Collect images related to the theme from internet images, magazines, newspapers, etc.

- 3
Paste the collected images onto paper to create a collage.

- 4
View the created board and extract new design elements.

Tips & Tricks
For generating new ideas, it is also effective to use images loosely related to the design subject.
Since objectively viewing the mood board is important, there is no need to focus on perfecting the collage.
