Overview
A method aimed at generating ideas for themes such as technical development for new products and improvement of current conditions. By combining intuitive and logical thinking to form hypotheses and then associating from there, you can generate rational ideas.
Steps

Set the design subject in advance.

Extract design elements related to the design subject.

Using the extracted design elements as keywords, determine analogous objects with similar operating principles or functions. These analogous objects do not need to be directly related to the theme.

Extract new design elements related to the design subject by forcibly associating the analogous objects determined in Step 2 with the design subject.

In forced association with analogous objects, good ideas often emerge when using nature-based analogies or conducting discussions casually.
