The Purpose Development Method is a method for grasping the essential needs for a product by repeatedly questioning the purpose of using the product.
Steps

Set the design subject in advance.

Consider the purpose of using the design subject and describe it at the end of an arrow drawn from the name of the design subject.

Consider the purpose of the purpose described in STEP 1 and describe it at the end of another arrow.
- 4
Repeat STEP 2 as many times as needed to grasp the essential needs.
Tips & Tricks
Recording the title, creator name, date, etc. on the created diagram is useful for review and reconsideration.
